Buttermilk Sourdough Pancakes

 


The night before you want pancakes mix together:


1 cup sourdough discard

3 TBS sugar (or honey)

1 cup buttermilk (regular milk is fine too)

1 cup water 

2 cups flour


Mix batter until thick. It's okay if it's still a bit lumpy! Refrigerate overnight & next morning add:


2 large eggs

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

2 tsp baking powder

1-2 tsp vanilla

2 TBS oil 


Whisk all your ingredients together completely & then fry pancakes in a HOT cast iron skillet (med/low) with a pat of butter or coconut oil & don't forget the fixins! We love grassfed butter, sprouted pecans or chocolate chips, apples or bananas & REAL maple syrup! 😍
